Patients who have undergone a facelift rate themselves as looking an average of 12 years younger after surgery, according to a study in the February issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®, the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
Additionally, a recently study showed a portfolio of photographs of a group of patients before and after a facelift – and on average the facelift patients were judged to be nine years younger! Each patient’s procedure and results are tailored to their situation, therefore, it is common to expect a degree of varying results.
